Lagaam Drishti App Privacy Policy

How the Lagaam Drishti mobile app (Android) handles data. Last updated 31 October 2026.

Lagaam Drishti is a fleet video telematics app published by Lagaam, a unit of Pedal Shift Motors Private Limited ("Lagaam", "we", "us"). It lets staff of a fleet operator (for example a transport company) view their vehicles, dashcam video and safety alarms. This policy explains what the app does with data.

Who controls fleet data

The app has no data of its own. It connects only to a Lagaam Drishti server chosen by the user: the server of their employer or fleet service provider (the "operator"). Vehicle positions, video, alarms, driver information and user accounts are stored on that operator's server and are controlled by the operator. Questions about that data, including access or deletion requests, should go to the operator. Where Lagaam runs the server for an operator, we process that data only on the operator's instructions.

What the app collects and why

DataPurposeWhere it goes
Server address, user name and passwordSigning inSent only to the server the user entered. The password is not stored on the phone; a sign-in token is kept in the phone's encrypted storage until the user signs out.
Microphone audioTalk-back to a vehicle's driver, only while the user presses the talk buttonStreamed to the operator's server and on to the vehicle. Not recorded by the app.
Notification settingsAlarm alerts the user choseKept on the phone only.
Map requestsShowing the mapMap images are loaded from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org), which receives the phone's IP address and the map area being viewed, under the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

The app does not use the phone's location, contacts, photos, camera or advertising ID. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking software. We do not sell data.

For users who connect the app directly to a CMSV7 platform instead of a Lagaam Drishti server, the CMSV7 account name and password are kept in the phone's encrypted storage so the app can sign in again; they are sent only to that platform.

Security

Connections to servers use HTTPS. Sign-in details on the phone are kept in Android's encrypted storage. What each user can see and do is limited by the role the operator gives them.

Retention and deletion

Signing out removes the sign-in token from the phone; uninstalling the app removes everything the app stored on it. Data on the operator's server is kept for the periods the operator sets; to have an account or its data deleted, contact the operator or, where Lagaam runs the server, us at the address below.

Children

The app is a business tool for fleet staff and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
